Charles F. Fields
Charles F. Fields, of Pearce, died at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson on April 12, 2019, at the age of 88. He was born in Ajo on March 12, 1931, to Carmel Fields and Jewell Knight Fields.
Charles served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a retired teacher and school psychologist. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sunizona.
On Aug. 2, 1959, in Phoenix, he married his wife, Jean, who survives him. Also surviving are: his children, Shawn Downes, of Merritt Island, Fla., and Ronald (Liza) Fields, of Spring Valley; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Wynell Madison, of Lubbock, Texas.
Preceding him in death were: his parents; and sisters, Shirley and Carmel.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Sunizona, with a flag presentation by the Davis Monthan AFB Elite Honor Guard. A luncheon followed.
