Floyd Houston Robbs


Floyd Houston Robbs passed away Feb. 24, 2019, at his home in Dos Cabezas. He was born in Lockney, Texas, on Jan. 22, 1927.

His family moved to Branson, Colo., for a short time, and then back to Lockney, where he graduated from high school at Plainview, Texas. After serving in the Army, he went to O.U. and majored in math.

He and Rose Mary were married July 11, 1953. They moved to Willcox in 1955 and started farming in the Kansas Settlement area.

He is survived by: his spouse, Rose Mary; brother, RL (Sally); sister, Viola Noyes; sons, Alan (Kathy) and Steven; grandsons, Nicholas (Heather), Zachary (Sarah) and Joram; and great-grandchildren, Tucker, Colton, Wyatt, Ellie-Rose, Levi, Grayson and Adalynn.

As well as a great family leader, he was also a great civic leader and served as member and leader of many boards throughout his lifetime. He lived a long, full life and will be missed by his family and friends.

Services were held at the Willcox United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made to the Northern Cochise Community Hospital Foundation.
