We wanted to provide a quick update concerning the chance for flash flooding across the region the rest of today.
We have issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Tucson Metro area, as well as much of the surrounding area.
What this means for you:
Many of the area washes are primed and ready due to recent heavy rainfall. Thunderstorm activity is expected to continue and increase in coverage early this afternoon.
You can expect washes to become full very quickly. Please be proactive when it comes to routing traffic and be at the ready for the potential for swift water rescues.
If you have any reports or any information to share, please do not hesitate to contact us.
