Phoenix morning anchor and Willcox High School graduate Dan Spindle joined ABC15 Mornings on April 3. He will be on the air weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., and will also serve as an anchor for ABC15 News at 11 a.m. Dan is a familiar face on Arizona television screens. He worked for three years as an anchor and reporter at KSAZ-TV in Phoenix. He held similar roles at KGUN-TV in Tucson. “It’s exciting to add someone of Dan Spindle’s caliber to the ABC15 Mornings family,” said Pat Costello, ABC15 news director. “He has experience covering everything from border issues and drug cartel violence to Gabby Giffords’ campaigns for congress.” Dan spent the majority of his childhood in Arizona. He’s a graduate of Willcox High School and Scottsdale Community College, attended the University of Arizona and earned his B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from New York Institute of Technology. Dan’s parents always knew he would spend his career telling stories after his first-grade teacher told them he talked too much in class. Dan’s wife Kendra is an Arizona native and they are thrilled to be raising their five children so close to family and friends.
