Franco signs letter of intent

Jamie Franco, Willcox, Ariz., signed a letter of intent to play softball for the Bethany College Swedes, in Lindsborg, Kansas for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Franco is a first base transfer from Eastern Arizona College where she played two seasons. Prior to Eastern, Franco was a four-year varsity starter at Willcox High School. She had 28 RBI's, four home runs and a .352 on-base percent for the lady monsters.
Franco was honored by Who's Who Among America's College Students and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society in 2009. In 2010 Franco Graduated with High Honors from Eastern Arizona College.
Franco is the daughter of Joseph and Delia Franco. She maintains a 3.7 GPA. At Bethany she plans to study physical therapy.
