Fall clean-up
It is hard to believe summer is drawing to a close and the fall festivities are about to begin, as it seems like yesterday when we got together and did the spring clean up. The date for the next cleanup is Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 a.m. starting in Railroad Park with a rousing speech by Kathy Smith from the Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture followed by an all out assault on the trash and litter accumulated since April.
I did drive around and it appears that there is much less trash than before the pickup in April, I guess that means a shorter morning.
Kathy and I will be available in the Park to pass out bags for the clean up; the dumpster will be parked on the lot at the corner of Stewart and Railroad Avenue.
If you need a reminder on where your areas are located, please let either Kathy at the Chamber (384-2272) or I (384-4271) know, and we will get you a map.
