Inspiration motivates
Thank you, Kathy Robbins and Mary Bardella, for your letters last week challenging Ms. de la Garza's negative comments on our president in her letter published the previous week. I applaud your courage for speaking out. Personally, what de la Garza wrote surprised me a little because I was under the impression she considers herself an accomplished writer, and using words a person says out of context, is, in my opinion, beneath her.
I, too, am proud to be a Democrat, and I am saying so in print, because a great lady Democrat who lived among us for a long time would be proud of me for saying so. Rose Allan, who recently passed away, was one of my local heroes, because she could inspire a person to become involved in a way that one would feel motivated to do so on their own, without shame, or blame, or any other negativity.
If Ms. de la Garza thinks she is changing anyone's opinion of our president and the job he is doing with her negative comments she might want to think again.
