WES 'Meet Your Teacher' Aug. 9
Willcox Elementary School staff would like to welcome all new and returning students to the new four-day school year! Teacher and room assignment letters have been mailed to each student enrolled in kindergarten through fourth grade.
School will begin Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 7:45 a.m. (supervision is available at 7:25 a.m.). School is dismissed at 3:30 p.m.
We encourage parents to enroll new students before the first day of school. Be sure to bring your child's birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of residency within our district. We can request student records from your child's previous school. The Elementary School office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. If you have any questions please call (520) 384-4216.
There will be a "Meet Your Teacher Night" on Monday, Aug. 9. The times for each grade level are as follows:
Kindergarten - 5-5:30 p.m.
1st grade - 5:30-6 p.m.
2nd grade - 6-6:30 p.m.
3rd grade - 6:30-7 p.m.
4th grade - 7-7:30 p.m.
Student breakfasts will be available for $1.25 in the cafeteria beginning at 7:30 am. Lunch cost is $1.75. Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are available in the district office during the summer hours and must be returned to the district office.
DAILY ARRIVAL AND PICK UP: Parents may drop their children off in front of the office before school. This is a ONE-WAY parking lot, entering on Delos and exiting on Austin Blvd. Please observe signs and road markings. After school pick up should be on Phoenix, Delos or Stewart Street, not in front of the office. These measures are being taken for student safety.
