CANDIDATE VISIT: JD Hayworth, a candidate for U.S. Senate from Arizona, is having a Town Hall in Douglas on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 1:30-3 p.m. at Cowbelle's Hall, 337 10th Street.

GARLIC FESTIVAL: Triangle T Guest Ranch and RichCrest Farms are having a Garlic Festival Saturday, July 31 at Triangle T in Dragoon from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to raise money for the Benson All the Kings Horses Orphanage and St. Jude's Children's Research Center.

Music by local groups all day. Wine tasting and shoot out at 5 p.m. to end celebration. Auctions, raffle prizes special foods and lots of fun.

Avondale

FARMING/RANCHING DINNER:

The Arizona Farming & Ranching Hall of Fame Committee announced that the date of the 2011 Honoree Dinner has been changed to March 5, 2011. The dinner will be held at the Estrella Vista Reception Center in Avondale.

Each year the Arizona Farming & Ranching Hall of Fame inducts seven agricultural pioneers, five living and two posthumously. The honorees will be memorialized in a permanent exhibit at Arizona's Farm & Ranch Experience Heritage Center at Lake Farm when it opens.
