FORT BOWIE
CELEBRATE ARIZONA ARCHAEOLOGY and Heritage Awareness Month by attending the special programs offered at Fort Bowie National Historic Site:
March 13, 10 a.m. Tour of the Bascom Affair Site. Meet Park Ranger Larry Ludwig at the Fort Bowie Trailhead Parking Area on Apache Pass Road to discover how this event played a key role in the Apache Wars. Bring water, snacks. Call 520-847-2500 to register.
March 13, 1 p.m. Tour the First Fort Bowie. Special guest speaker, Randall Skeirik from the Vanishing Treasures Program, will explain recent mapping using GPS and laser technology and the challenges of preserving sites that are in a state of ruin. Meet at the Fort Bowie visitor center.

FREE LECTURE: On Thursday, March 25, there will be a free lecture, "Kartchner Caverns -- The Latest and Greatest News," at 7 p.m., at the Lansing Auditorium; St. David School; Hwy.80; in St. David.
Learn about a variety of cave research current projects
Become acquainted with the caverns conservation practices
Ask questions about the caverns from an expert.
Donations are welcome. All proceeds will be used for St. David School's Historic Rehabilitation Project.

BOWIE SWAP MEET is every Saturday iat 9 a.m.. Meet people and earn a little cash. Spaces are free. The winning ticket for a 50-50 raffle will be drawn at noon. Winner must be present: 50 percent of the cash goes to Bowie Food Pantry. Everyone welcome. Need vendors and buyers.
