Willcox Cowbelles dance tickets

Tickets may be obtained for the Willcox Cowbelles dance by calling Honey at 520-384-2791. They are $10 a person. Ticket sales have closed for the dinner and auction, but if you ask around you may find someone willing to part with extras.

The door opens at 5:30, auction at 6:00, dinner (prime rib) at 7:00, live auction and dance at 8:00 on March 13, 2010 at the Elks Lodge, 2131 Sewart.

Auction attendees will be able to bid on astounding, incredible donations by the likes of America's best selling comedic veterinarian, outstanding paintings and glass art created by local and nationally known artists, unique jewelry by one of the valley's best silversmiths, or, how about a ceramic replica of a Wells Fargo Stage (carry your money in style), a rope basket to die for, beef for begging, contemporary horse hair pots and a surprise middle of the auction "Night in a Casita". All these, and many more, will be up for bid. All donors will be acknowledged after the auctions.

Thank you donors and bidders! Your donations and bids fund the Marguerite Cook Memorial Scholarship. Sixty-one students have received scholarships since 1977.

Annual fireworks fund raiser

The Willcox Fire Department is asking for your help in raising the funds needed for this year's Annual Fireworks Display. Last year's show was awesome. Help us do it again on Sunday, July 4th, 2010.

If each business owner in the City of Willcox, Stewart District and the Kansas Settlement areas would give a $50 tax deductible donation, or whatever they could afford. (Receipts available on request), the Willcox Fire Department will continue to improve the show, making it the bigger and better than last year.

A reminder ... Please let us know if you would like to have a shell dedicated to someone: a message to a loved one, someone in the Armed Forces, birthday, anniversary, in memory of a special person or loved one, a promotion for your business. June 30 will be the deadline for these requests, so the program can be put together.

Contact Assistant Fire Chief Patti Ackerson-Rodriguez at 520-384-4673 at the Willcox Police Department.

Please help make this annual tradition enjoyable for all. Make your donations payable to: The Willcox Fire Department Fireworks Fund 320 W Rex Allen Drive, Willcox, AZ 85643
