Allan Lewis
1935-2010
Allan Lewis, of Sunizona/Pearce, died at home on Feb. 25, 2010 at the age of 74. He was born in Cheyenne, Wyo. on May 25, 1935 to Clinton and Pauline Lewis.
Allan served in the U.S. Army and was retired Civil Service from the U.S. Navy as an expert in technical paints and coatings. Before moving to Arizona six years ago, he was an avid sail boater for 24 years in Puget Sound, Wash. Allan was fascinated with Southern Arizona due to his Apache-Cherokee Indian Heritage. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Sunizona.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Arlene of Sunizona; his son Greg Moyer of Pleasanton, Calif. and five grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister, Eleanor Emmons of Eugene, Ore.; and he was a favorite Uncle to five nephews and six nieces. Preceding him in death was his parents, a daughter Lisa and his brother Clint and sister LaDonna.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Sunizona. Contributions may be made in Allan's name to the Charles Wm Leighton Jr. Hospice, P.O. Box 115, Willcox, AZ 85644.
Cremation entrusted to Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematory of Willcox, Ariz.
