Bowie Schools honoring veterans Wednesday
Bowie Unified School District would like to recognize our local veterans today, Nov. 11, Veteran's Day. School is not in session, but our students would like to take that morning to pay special tribute to the armed services of our nation. Bowie School District is honoring veterans beginning at 8 a.m. in various ways:
8 a.m. - Flags, balloons and flowers on Veteran's Graves at Bowie Cemetery,
9 a.m. - Parade from Cemetery to Bowie School Auditorium,
10 a.m. - Bowie Auditorium Honoring Veterans who join us,
11 a.m. - Planting trees on the school grounds in Veteran's Honor
Noon - Hamburger Cookout.
