SIERRA VISTA - The Cochise County Sheriff's Office seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana after deputies said they saw two men flee a vehicle near Elfrida.
Deputies said that about 1:30 p.m. Monday, they tried to contact the driver of a green and tan 1994 Ford truck seen entering private property in the 12000 block of Highway 191.
After entering onto the property, two men "quickly exited the truck and ran west into the brush," sheriff's office spokeswoman Carol Capas said Wednesday. Deputies searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the two men.
About 10 bundles of marijuana totaling 226.7 pounds were found in the bed of the truck, according to Cochise County deputies.
