It was a team effort that helped Willcox overwhelm Baboquivari 61-0 Friday. Mike Rand, Paolo Aguilera, Rudy Verdugo and Carson Skaarer scored for the first team, while subs Anthony Gomez, Anthony Torres, Derrick Hedges and Francisco Becerra also scored. Gerald Fleming passed for one touchdown and returned an interception for another score Friday night to help new head coach Jim Hughes earn his first victory as a Cowboy varsity coach. A much bigger opponent looms this Friday when Willcox (1-1) visits 2-0 Safford. "I think we can compete with them, skillwise, but size will be a challenge," said coach Hughes.
