Apple Harvest Celebration in Willcox Labor Day weekend

Published: Wednesday, September 2, 2009 6:07 PM CDT
Make plans this Labor Day weekend to bring your family and friends to join in the fun at Apple Annie's 9th Annual Apple Harvest Celebration. Whether you would like to "labor" in the orchards picking your own or choose from selection of the already picked apples, you are sure to enjoy the homegrown freshness.

The celebration will run Sept. 5-7, starting each day with an "All-You-Can-Eat" pancake with fried apple topping breakfast, served 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. each morning, followed by Apple Annie's famous "Apple-Smoked" burger lunches, served 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the celebration. Homemade apple ice cream will be churning and there will be free wagon rides to the orchards to pick apples and Asian pears. As always, parking and admission are free.

For more information on the Apple Harvest Celebration, and other exciting Apple Annie events, visit www.AppleAnnies.com or call 520-384-2084. Take I-10 to Willcox exit 340, turn onto Ft. Grant Rd. for 5.5 miles, turn right on Nickles Rd. and follow signs.

A portion of the proceeds from all of Apple Annie's events are donated to March of Dimes, Lupus Foundation of Southern AZ, Andrea's Closet and Youth Haven Ranches. Over the past eight years Apple Annie's has donated over $48,5000.00.
