Fun Times Productions, co-owned by April Denny and Penney Bell, recently held a "March Saddle Series" at the Quail Park Arena. The series featured a total of four barrel races which provided contestants a chance to win a beautiful trophy saddle, buckles for the high money winner in each division as well as a pile of cash. In all, over 300 barrel racers from all over the state as well as New Mexico came to Willcox to compete in the series. Over $10,000 was paid out in cash and prizes!

"The series was a huge success and really put Willcox on the map for barrel racing enthusiasts from all over the state. There is no doubt that the Quail Drive Arena is among the best of it's kind when it comes to equine facilities and we are excited that so many barrel racers are starting to recognize what we have here. The City has done an excellent job of maintaining the facility and helping to keep the arena ground in top performance shape, which in turn, will only help to bring more events to Willcox," said Bell.

Fun Times Productions also sponsored another barrel racing series at the Quail Park Arena during the month of May, "Viva Las Vegas" where a trip to the 51st Annual National Finals Rodeo in December as well as buckles to the high money winner throughout the series in each division and lots of cash was to be awarded.

1D Buckle Winner Mandy Sproul - Benson

2D Buckle Winner Candice Jacob - Marana

4D Buckle Winner Demi Gutherie - Tucson.
