Arizona Kidney Foundation offers free kidney health screening

The Arizona Kidney Foundation will present their Kidney Early Evaluation Program (K.E.E.P.) on Saturday, April 18th at the Douglas Visitors Center on 345 16th Street in Douglas from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Reserve your appointment by calling 520-882-7604. Walk-ins are welcome until Noon.

One in nine American adults has chronic kidney disease. Many don't even know it until it is too late and they find themselves in an emergency room. The Arizona Kidney Foundation is offering a free kidney health clinic to help identify early signs of kidney disease. If you are 18 years or older and have a family member with diabetes, high blood pressure or chronic kidney disease, or if you have high blood pressure or diabetes, the Arizona Kidney Foundation encourages you to participate in this free health screening.

The K.E.E.P. screening will include the following free services: over $300 worth of free lab work including blood pressure screening, blood, glucose and urine tests, cholesterol level screening plus height and weight measurements. Nurses and medical assistants will perform all tests. Private consultations with the doctors, nurses and dieticians will be possible. A comprehensive report will be mailed to each participant.
