Arizona Farm Bureau president reappointed to Executive Committee of the American Farm Bureau Federation

Published: Wednesday, February 11, 2009 10:10 AM CST
Arizona Farm Bureau President Kevin Rogers has been reelected to the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Board of Directors and reappointed to the executive committee, a six-member committee representing the largest voluntary agriculture organization in the United States.

The AFBF executive committee is comprised of the national president, vice president and one member from each of the four agriculture regions in the country.

A cotton, hay, wheat, corn and barley farmer in the Phoenix Valley, Rogers begins a new two-year term representing Arizona and the western region on AFBF's Board of Directors.

"I'm honored that AFBF President Bob Stallman announced he was reappointing me, along with three others from their respective regions, to the executive committee," says Rogers. "This opportunity allows me to continue to serve and advocate for Arizona in a very influential place. For Arizona agriculture, I hope to continue to make priorities of agriculture's labor needs, animal welfare, and transportation issues critical to agriculture. Additionally, air quality issues will be important."
