Cowgirl Basketball

Nikki Dunlap (DAVE BROWN/ARN)

Published: Wednesday, January 28, 2009 12:11 PM CST
The Willcox girls varsity (10-0) are cruising after wins over Tombstone and Bisbee last week. They are rated third in the state and tops in their league, but four of their last six games are on the road and one of the home games is against unbeaten 1A power St. David on Thursday night. The Cowgirls varsity hopes to grab a number-one seed to their conference tournament on Feb 6-7. (Note: the freshman girls games against St. David tomorrow and against Morenci on Feb. 3 have been canceled.)
