SIERRA VISTA - County law enforcement is asking for the public's assistance in solving the murder of an Elfrida man who was first reported in May.

Ronald Eugene Jones, 46, was found dead in his home in the Elfrida area with multiple gunshot wounds on May 27.

"We've interviewed several people and gathered information regarding the victim," said Carol Capas, spokeswoman for the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.

Jones' family has issued a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in the case.

"We're hoping that this follows up with more leads for us," Capas said. "We're just looking for more input from the public and from people that knew him."

Capas said she could not release any further details regarding the case, citing the ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Cochise County Sheriff's Office at 1-800-362-0812.

The agency says the information received will remain confidential.
