BISBEE
WESTERNERS INTERNATIONAL MEETING: Stan Lehman will present the exciting story of the "Bisbee Massacre" at the meeting of Westerners International on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 7 pm at the Bisbee Senior Center.
The "Bisbee Massacre" that occurred in December 1883 was the most violent robbery in Bisbee history. Several people were murdered on Main Street during the daring escapade. This free event is open to the public. Refreshments will be available. For information call Christine Rhodes at 520-432-5836.
ELFRIDA
MEET LOCAL CANDIDATES for office at the Elfrida Park on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. The Elfrida Citizens Alliance will greatly appreciate your donations for hamburgers and hotdogs hot off the grill. So bring your favorite dish, a picnic blanket and your family!
There will also be a raffle for two sets of three handmade scarves, a Coby CD/Tape/Radio Player and a George Forman Double G Grill and Griddle. Tickets can be purchased at the ECA office and at the event. Price of tickets are 6 for $5.
