Methodist Church to hold yard sale for Good Samaritan Fund

The Willcox United Methodist Church will be hosting a yard sale on July 25 and 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to benefit the church's Good Samaritan Fund. The indoor yard sale will feature a large selection of items including clothing, small appliances along with computer and exercise equipment. Many items will cost under a dollar with values many times the price. The Methodist Church is located at 124 S. Curtis Street.

Annual Cowboy Camp begins Thursday in Chiricahuas

Join the Chiricahua Ranchmen's Association for Christian Fellowship at their 63rd Annual Cowboy Camp Meeting on Thursday, July 24 through Sunday, July 27 at Highway 181 and Rock Creek Lane. Contact Bruce Tingle at 384-2467 or Jessie Dean, 384-3227, for information.


Jasmine Guillen benefit planned at Sacred Heart Church

The Project Development Fundraising Committee, members of the Knights of Columbus, and St. Anne's Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church are raising funds to help with expenses for Jasmine Guillen, daughter of Jose and Monica Pacheco. Jasmine was airlifted to University Medical Center in Tucson six weeks ago and has been in Pediatric Intensive Care ever since. She was stricken with what doctors confirm is a life threatening or seriously debilitating case of encephalitis.

Members of these parish organizations will be in the vestibule after each Mass for the next few weeks to receive your contributions.

A full Mexican-style dinner, with a raffle and jewelry auction, is scheduled for Aug. 16, after the 5:30 p.m. Mass, in the parish hall.

Students from Willcox High School plan to join in to help by holding a car wash and bake sale.
