The Cochise Stronghold Lions Club is introducing a different kind of raffle. First the participant draws a ticket with a number between one and one-thousand. The number on the ticket indicates the amount that must be paid for the chance. For example, ticket 542 will cost $5.42. The prizes are excellent! A double size quilt, a stained glass table lamp, a full size tool chest, a stained glass nativity scene and others.
Tickets will be on sale until Dec. 22, the date of the drawing. Contact Carol Cartmell at 508-2574 or a Lion member for a ticket.
The drawing will be held at a Christmas Tea on Saturday, Dec. 22, at the Sunsites Community Center from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The tea will include entertainment, conversation with friends, delicious food, and tea, coffee, or punch for a $5 donation. Celebrate the season and maybe you will win the raffle item of your dreams. All proceeds from the raffle and the tea will be used to fund children's playground equipment for the park in Sunsites.
