A Night in Haunted Park - that's the vision Willcox Against Substance Abuse (WASA) has for Keiller Park this Halloween, said Sally White, WASA director.

A $2 entry fee will be charged per person or $5 per immediate family for those receiving treat bags.

Halloween happenings:

€Trunk or Treat for the under-7 crowd, to be held at the Fremont Street parking lot from 5 p.m. until dark.

The park will then be opened for "scarier activities."

€Gypsy Camp under the large Ramada; Pirates and Thieves in abundance: Will include a campfire in the BBQ pits, fortune telling, face painting, story telling, and games like walk the plank and cannon ball toss.

€ A Haunted House.

€ Malice in Wonderland

€ Jumping Castle

€ Pumpkin Carving Contest - Bring in your pumpkin by 6 p.m.; prize awarded at 8 p.m.

€ Games, booths, in the smaller ramadas and the walking trail pullouts.

€ A cakewalk on the basketball courts (not included in entry fee)

€ Concessions (not included in entry fee)

Family fun will continue until 8:30 p.m., she said.

White said that some basic needs are helping hands to construct on Oct. 31, and/or to take down on Nov.1; workers to set up and run the games on Oct. 31; costumed helpers to walk the park during the festivities; candy and prizes for the event; and pumpkins, corn stalks, etc. to decorate.

Please contact the WASA office at (520) 384-4777 or show up at the park to volunteer your time, talents, or ideas.

If you venture into the Casas Lindas area for trick-or-treating, traffic control will be in place by the Willcox Department of Public Safety. Follow the directions and watch for little ghosts, goblins and ghouls.
