Friends of the Library Offer $1200 Scholarship
The Friends of the Elsie S. Hogan Community Library are pleased to offer an annual scholarship in memory of Roy Griffin, a 1994 graduate of Willcox High School, announced Karla Hansen, the Friends' Scholarship Chairperson.
This scholarship is offered in the areas of learning that Roy Griffin was interested in: teaching, librarianship, language arts, or information systems. Applicants must currently be graduating from Willcox High School, with plans to attend a community college, tech school, or university in the fall of 2007.
An application can be picked up at the WHS Counselor's Office or the Elsie S. Hogan Community Library, 207 W. Maley, and returned on or before March 9 at either location.
Each applicant will be contacted to schedule an interview with the Friends' scholarship committee. The award will be presented during the Academic Awards Night in May.
