Six candidates are running for the office of justice of the peace in Willcox, replacing Judge Judy Bethel, who is retiring from Justice Court No. 4.

Because the position dispenses justice, the Range News checked state records to see if any of the candidates had judicial records.

No records were found for Robert "Steve" Ellis or Trevor Ward.

Searches on Dale "Skip" Hadfield and Sandra Ousley produced records of two traffic violations each in the past.

Kim Bennett's record contains four traffic violations, and two counts of Game and Fish violations in May of 2000.

A search on candidate Marshall Miles found injunction/harassment orders issued against him in October of 1997 and February of 2006.

Miles' record also contained 14 traffic violations.

Members of the public may have access to court records by visiting the website for Arizona's judicial branch, www.supreme.state.az.us
