Area man shot in home dispute
By CAROL BROEDER/Arizona Range News
A Willcox-area man suffered a gunshot wound early Saturday morning.
The Cochise County Sheriff's Department received an emergency call at 4:35 a.m., regarding a man bleeding on the front porch of a home on Corral Drive, said Carol Capas, spokeswoman for the sheriff's department.
When deputies responded they discovered two people -- one was Miguel Moralez, who had suffered a gunshot wound.
"It appears that they both had been drinking," Capas said. "He only knew that some guy named Jorge had shot in him in the left shoulder with an unknown type of handgun."
Moralez refused to give deputies any further personal information, such as his age or address, she said.
He was treated and released from Northern Cochise Community Hospital, said Ellen Clark, the hospital's community relations director.
