Clayton L. Krontz
1924-2004
Clayton L. Krontz, of Richland Ranchettes (Cochise), died Dec. 7, 2004, at the age of 80.
He was born in Butler, Ind., on Nov. 10, 1924, to Delbert and Hazel May (Mock) Krontz.
Clayton was a retired punch operator and moved to Richland Ranchettes in 1979. Clayton served in the U.S. Army during WW II and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of American Legion Post #24 in Tombstone and a member of Wynne Chapel.
Survivors include his daughters Judy (Terry) Andrews of Richland Ranchettes, Marie (Mike) Blanton of Ashley, Ind., and Mary "Peanut" Tremmel of Sunsites; and his sons Michael of Bonifar, Fla., and Philip of Bunker Hill, Ind., along with 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his sisters Sadie Hug of Calif., Alice Houlton and Joan Wehmer both of Indiana; and his brothers Kenny of Florida, and Floyd of Indiana.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Waneta " Skeeter", on April 29, 2000; and his parents.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m., at Wynne Chapel in Richland Ranchettes, with burial to follow in Pearce Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Charles Wm. Leighton, Jr. Hospice, 319 W. Grant, Willcox, Ariz., 85643.
Services were under the direction of Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematorium of Willcox.
