An Hispanic man in his 40s was found dead in Bowie last week, apparently of a gun-shot wound.

The victim was discovered Tuesday, Oct. 5, around 6:40 p.m., outside the Tee Pee Apartments, said Carol Capas, spokeswoman for the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.

The man's identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified by the Mexican Consulate, Capas said.

Bowie Volunteer Fire Department personnel were on the scene prior to sheriff's deputies, and said the victim had a gun-shot wound to the upper right side of his body.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office is investigating the homicide. If you have any information, leads or knowledge, please contact the Cochise County Sheriff's Office at (520) 432-9500 or 1-800-362-0812.
