Brooke Conner, a 12th-grade student of Willcox High School, recently was honored by Ariat Boot Company of Union City, California with a $300 college scholarship for being named the Arizona High School Rodeo Association Student President for 2004-2005 at the Arizona High School Finals Rodeo held last month in Globe.

The Ariat High School Rodeo Student President's scholarship program was started two years ago by Ariat Boot Company as a way of recognizing those NHSRA members, who through their leadership skills, do the most to insure the success of their respective high school rodeo associations.

Ariat annually supports the NHSRA's leadership development efforts by making student president scholarships available to high school rodeo members in 39 states, five Canadian Provinces and in Australia.

"The NHSRA is very proud to have Ariat as a national corporate partner. It is the sponsorship support that the NHSRA receives from its valuable corporate partners that allows it to assist with the development of dedication, leadership. responsibility and commitment in today's young people," explains NHSRA Marketing Director Mitchel Miller.
